But yeah- "Local trade" means "we bought it from a dealer or auction in Canada" now... Can't find a used truck up here in Northern Michigan that wasn't originally sold in Canada. Mine is, and I'm cool with that.
Im in West Michigan and recently bought a used 2015 Lariat and I found out the same thing you did, most of the used trucks I looked at were from Canada to include the one I bought. As for being certified, I payed to have mine certified and I know they did literally nothing during the inspection but I am now covered for another 6 years or up to 125K miles premium warranty which is awesome. Being certified also helped with the financing as well.

Not a Ford, but my wife's current vehicle is a 2014 Camry, purchased in 2015 as a TRAC car, which is Toyota's loaner/rental program. Those cars are not allowed to exceed 8k miles in the TRAC program.

Hers had 7500 on it, I paid a few hundred dollars to get it CPO, and for that I got the full factory warranty that started from when we bought it, as well as 0%/60 mo. financing, which saved me the few hundred dollars, just in interest. It was really a no brainer. And no, I did not pay the ridiculous cost for the extended warranty.

Overall, I saved about $3500 off what I could have negotiated a brand new one for, while retaining the full warranty and getting the promotional financing. Worked for me, and the car has 85k flawless miles on it now.

I dunno....I bought a 18 Plat that MSRP'd for 60k for 44k. Granted it had 22k on the clock but I got a 7yr/100k powertrain warranty plus a 4yr/48k bumper to bumper. And I got them to match the bumper to bumper to match the power train warranty. All Ford ESP stuff but it does have a 100 deductible. Who else has a 7yr/100k bumper to bumper and power train warranty?

I say not a bad deal for 44k. And new 35x12.5x20 BFG KO2's.

But I didn't find anything left behind.

I did something similar, mines is a 15 with 44K on it that is now covered for 10 years (from date of original sale) and/or 125K bumper to bumper, so I basically have 6 more years of coverage. Worth the price for the ESP in my opinion for that kind of coverage. Nice truck BTW!

My Lariat SCREW, had 17k on the clock when I got her - non CPO - Lease Return.

I have the Z Series, CNA National, Preferred Care Plus, Extended Warranty on mine... Full B to B coverage out to 150k Miles or April of 2025, which ever comes first.

If I take it to a Suntrup Family Dealership (there are 10 locations.) I pay NO Deductible... Any place else, nation wide, I pay $200. Plus, it covers a rental, if one is needed.

If I sell the truck, it is transferable to the new owner.

Is that a 2 or 4 wheel drive? If it's a 4x4, you done real good. The value of 2 wheel drives seem to sink like a rock around here, that is if you can even find one. 99% of the Lariat and up models are 4x4.

It is a 4X4 - I removed the stickers from the bed.
