Default What is the Factory tinting level?

Hi everyone, I suppose to get my Sport XLT by next week and wanted to pre order the precut tints for it but was wondering if anyone actually can tell me what's the % of the factory tinted windows the pick up comes with?

They really aren't tinted, it is smoked glass done during glass production. I have seen on here that they are 20-22% range. Also I have seen a lot of guys saying 15% is a good match. Search the threads there are a few out there on this topic.

i just got mine tinted yesterday and the tint guy said 18% for the back windows from factory, so he did 18% on the fronts and it matches pretty damn well. id say the factory is just a hint darker. maybe 15?

Just about every car makes (sans german blueish tint) uses somewhere around 18-22%. Using 20% to match is a rule of thumb is good.

Just got my front windshield done today and front two windows to match. The fronts already had a factory tint that had to be removed it was 35% they installed 20% to match the back but the back has no tint it was dyed at factory but match at 20% tint. I will go back later and get the last three windows done. I want them at 5%...

15% is perfect. the rear is betwqeen 18-20. the windshield lets in a lot of light so the 15 matches perfect. I have also been tinting windows for 10 years(not just my own but for a living). ive used them all.

My rear door glass measured 21%. Put 20% on the fronts and it looks great!
