What does your dealer charge for.....
What does your dealer charge for 10k mile service? Debating whether to just skip it and do it myself. Oil life is at 46% still.
Here's what happens at your 10000 mile checkup
- Rotate and inspect tires; check wheel end play and turning noise
- Change engine oil and replace oil filter when indicated on vehicle message center or every 12 months, whichever occurs first
- MEMO: Gas engine; Up to 9.0 quarts of oil (IOLM)
- Inspect cooling system and hoses
- Inspect complete exhaust system and heat shields
- Inspect automatic transmission fluid level (if equipped with underhood dipstick)
- Inspect brake pads/shoes/rotors/drums, brake lines and hoses, and parking brake system
- Inspect and lubricate all non-sealed steering linkage,ball joints,suspension joints,half and drive-shafts and u-joints
- Inspect front axle lubricant level/condition
- Perform multi-point inspection

There is no such thing as a 10,000 mile service. Refer to your manual.
If you're at 46% oil life at 10,000 miles, something is wrong. The IOLM will trip at 10,000 miles, 1 year, or when it's ready to trip, whichever comes first. Therefore, at 10,000 miles, it should trip. This is also in your manual.
As has been stated, Ford's The Works includes an oil change, tire rotation, fluid checks and visual inspection. Sometimes there is a $10 rebate. They will usually charge for oil over 5 quarts.

I copied the above steps from the Ford service list below. I asked because my FordPass popped up that it was time for 10k mile service (I am at 9800 miles). I am not sure about the oil life that is left when I got the car at 5k miles it was at like 85%. Maybe they changed the oil right before I got it?

There is no reason to change the oil now unless you are unclear as to whether it was done before. You should rotate the tires every 7,500 or every oil change, you don't really want to go ~15,000 miles without an oil change.
I would agree that most of those items can be done by you.

I would take it in at 10,000 miles for an oil change. That's it.

And I can assure you that the "inspections" done by most dealers consist of "yep, hoses are still there... yep, tires are still there..."

IF you like to keep an eye on your truck you MIGHT consider checking and replace if necessary:
Air Filter
Cabin Airfilter
At one year I always:
Lube all hinges and door locks.
Good basic inspection
I do the Oil at 5K or one year which for me is usually one year. I rotate the tires when I do the oil change.
And then there's the FULL Detail...
