Ah ok. Thanks for the info. I'm just worried that the dealership will do whatever is possible to avoid giving me a new engine, even if/when they realize that I really need one.

Are the 5.0 Mustangs having the same issues?
I have a 2.7 and have been checking my oil almost on a daily basis due to all this talk of oil consumption. Still showing full...

they have their own host of problems with ticking and kabooms.

OP, I wouldn't keep using the truck with oil that low. If your mileage test isn't finished, go to the dealer NOW and let them either end the test or add oil. If you ruin your engine due to oil starvation, it'd be your fault. Good luck.

I appreciate the advice. Already scheduled to bring it in tomorrow. I'll keep everyone posted.
