Installed a dee zee tailgate assist. Super easy and now the kids won’t drop the tailgate.

Had the truck for 2 weeks and just hit 150 miles on the odometer. Got it out of the garage for a few minutes and snapped a couple pics.

Tint was done the day after I got it.
5% on the front & 20% on the rear with 15% strip across the top of the windshield.

Default Borla S-Type 2019 F-150 5.0

Just installed this sweet thing to help my 5.0 breath a little better! The Borla S-Type barks on a cold start then tones down to a nice throaty rumble. This system has zero cab drone and is loud when you want it so it’s not obnoxious. I am curious if anyone has done any mods to this exhaust if so feel free to hit me up about it!

Sounds a lot raspier than on other vehicles I used Borlas, but all Mustangs with the 5.0 do. Don't know what it is on that engine that sounds like that. It's not bad, but I personally like more a deep and more refined sound that what Mustangs (and F-150s) provide. One thing I HATED about Borlas, which is why I stopped buying them is they always droned like a ****. How bad is in the F-150? But hope you liked it, which is what matters .

Default Gentex 453 Homelink mirror installed in 2018 F-150 SuperCrew

Wired up my Gentex Homelink mirror today- was being lazy on that lol. don't know why, it was very easy...
I picked up the mirror off ebay- came from a 2011 Hyundai. Gentex 453 mirrors are used in tons of import cars so it is an easy way to buy one cheap - avg price is about $40 shipped. I got mine for $32 shipped. Make sure you get one with the plug pigtail, you will need it. If you buy a "retail" Gentex 453 you'll pay $100+. The one I got has the hidden compass up in the right corner. it can be shut off if you never want to see it. Mirror has auto dim, undim on reverse, same as the stock mirror. i did lose my left hand mirror auto dim by doing this but i do not care at all. my tint takes care of that. So now I just need to program the homelink buttons for my garage doors and gate- done. sorry for the bad pics it was hard to get a good shot with the bright light behind it. The wedge shoe mount on these mirrors are universal across all cars that use a wedge type mount. on my F150, loosen the T20 torx and OE mirror slides off the window shoe. Then slide the Gentex mirror on shoe and tighten the T20. done.

.....

Ford F-150 rear view mirror wiring diagram- blue-brown is 12 key ignition hot, green is reverse signal to mirror, black/yellow is ground. Wire the blue/brown 12v to both the red and brown wires together on the Gentex.

Hyundai Gentex 453 mirror - Red is 12v batt, brown is 12v key, white is reverse signal input, black is ground. tie the red and brown together and connect to the blue/brown 12v wire on truck side. ........

Why did it cause you to lose the side mirror auto dim? Looks nice.

the factory mirror has two communication wires that run to the left driver mirror. when the rear view mirror dims it also dims the driver mirror. the gentex mirror has no provision for that. frankly I don;t want the driver side mirror to dim now with the tint, so it is a benefit with shutting that off.

Good job! I'm on my third truck with the SType, a '12 5.0, a '17 3.5, and on this '20, I stuck the SType off the '17 on it. Already burned in. I think your 5.0 is the newest version like mine, GenIII? I noticed a big difference between the '12 and this one. Ford upped the compression to 12:1, and increased it up to a 305/307 CI, changed the sound for the better IMO, and best thing, zero drone.

I know it's my wife's Raptor, not my F150, but we threw Eibach springs on there to get that front end leveled...
