Noico down, next is noico red decoupling foam then the mass vinyl goes on top of that

Forgot to take a pic of the noico red foam, this project is tedious and dragging on so didn't remember to take a bunch of pics. Last step will be popping the headliner down again ( already took it down to put noico and noico red up there) and putting thinsulate 600 up there. Will also put the thinsulate on the back walls, in the door panels and maybe even add some more onto some of the trim pieces. Then I can finally finish the stereo install!
Which of the acoustimac mat did you use?

lol. theres just a few years of stickers there. 123 auto parts has been gone about 25+ years. was our go to place. could get everything to rebuild an engine or trans with good quality support/info, and if you knew 'the guy" you could score your blow there too.
and PAW (performance auto warehouse) was our go to catalog for performance and all engine parts. blowers, injections systems. used them mostly when i was building sand rails and jeep drag rails. they only sell on Ebay now and im pretty sure its a name that was sold. they were the place. o the struggles before this here interwebs thingy

ha and the door going into the house from the garage is covered in stickers from places we have visited. we like stickers.
i was just bitching somewhere else. i just bought a pair of $300 oakleys, no hard case, NO STICKER! i just got a box from Builtright, $50 for an antenae and a seat latch release thing, yep, got a sticker. its the little **** in life makes me happy.

Incorrect. Gluing thinsulate onto the back of it and putting it back in place. Then amp rack will go in front of it.

Ape has a writeup HERE
read it through. The first post has been updated as the process evolved. Links are there and at another f150 site.
Very simple. I only did the format and version 3.3 so far. Only had 2 USB drives handy at the time.

Yeah that's the one. Shipping was only an extra 15 or 29 so it was still less than Amazon offerings and.inordered Monday morning and got it today so it wasn't too bad.

The actual kicker system for the newer trucks only has an 8" sub and it's behind the seat back. Not as effective in my opinion.

Here is what is going in

Phoenix automotive 12.1 inch running Android 8.1

left side is skar sk-1500d for the subs and on the right is the SK 100.4ab for the mids and highs

6 skar audio 6.5 evl dual 2ohm voice coils wired down to .67 ohm going under the back seat. No need to raise the seat with this setup
Hey, that Skar setup looks awesome! How many watts is that pushing?

I made a test box for a cheap 10" sub, and it is like an earthquake with only a little 125W kicker amp pushing it. Hard to tell from the video, as the mic was tapping out, and the music is not great, but here is is: .
After that test box, (experiment was a success), I used a Dual sub and put a little more effort into the sub box, and the sound is even better. Have a 600W Kicker amp pushing in now. LOVE what it brings. Even so, the JBL setup is on a much higher level. The fact that the system replaces all of the factory speakers is interesting to me, besides the double sub box.ALL the sound is getting upgraded, not just adding a sub..

Wow, that screen looks big. Does it work with the Sync system, or is it stand alone? Nice upgrades. I might do something like that in my old truck. Thanks for the ideas.
