It will be a cold day in h... before I like chrome on modern vehicles. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! For now.

I think like our vehicles that 100,000 miles. It should be moved to at least 150,000 before we lose value.
So 72 is now 52 and 74 is 54... I'm 46 and people think I look 35. So there's something in the air and we don't eat so many chemicals as our parents did.

Whoa.. Easy man, she has feelings...

Admittedly I'm looking at a color matched sport grill or even a platinum to break up all that chrome up front..
Or, if I could find a good way to make above and below the two bars all black.
I'd be a happy camper..

First truck to have chrome since 2005. Yes, it's been an adjustment.

I still think the F150s with chrome look great, just not for me. I think you can work with the chrome, as you mentioned, to tone it down and it looks better as well. I just think the sport look is more aggressive.

I had a 2007 with chrome bumpers and grille surround. I was going to replace them with PTM bumpers until I realized the chrome doesn't chip like paint. That is one benefit of chrome for sure.

I changed my oil and realized that I'm in for many angry oil changes to come. I've done my own changes for years in many different vehicles and this was by far the biggest PITA. Ford engineering really crapped the bed on their plastic drain plug / oil pan. Not to mention the oil splashes ALL over because the stabilizer bar is right in the path of the draining oil. Even with three oil catch pans, I had oil splashed all over the place. Hopefully some aftermarket plug comes out in the near future. End rant...

I just replaced my carpet mats with OEM Ford all season weather mats. I really like that they're contoured tray style and fit perfectly. These are the Ford mats https://www.fordpartsprime.com/oem/ford-hl3z1813300aa-kit-floor-contour-mat.html that I got for my truck.

Still better than trusting the dealer to do it right. I’m about to do mine for the first time. I’ll let you know how it goes.
