Initially I wanted a sub I could hide behind the rear seat for a factory look leaving the rear floor open. The Rockford was perfect for that, but in the end I found it was unable to keep up with the aftermarket amplified front components and rear coaxials. I went with the bigger Infinity 12" and it has made a world of difference. I finally have the sound I've been looking for and if I really need the floor space under the rear seat I can just unhook the sub and pull it out temporarily.

New setup under the rear seat:

Those little RF subs are nice. I have 2 of those 10s under my backseat on a Prime 500x1d and they get plenty low and loud for me. I built my box around the airspace recommended and to fit under the rear seats of my previous truck, Frontier KC. I kept them in the same box for now.

Sorry, I more so wondering more about excessive heat and no where for it to go. Would it have any adverse effects..?
Could just be over thinking a not so complex heating element.

Thanks. Hows the view at night backing and does this seem to be keeping the temps down inside?
