What did you do to your truck today?
The website gives the codes to determine which one you have, and go from there. If you really want Limited Slip, there are a million of them in junk yards cheap. Just check that the brakes are dry and look for shavings in the diff fluid before you buy.
He says it drives fantastic. https://www.stage3motorsports.com/22...34-Spline.html

Thanks again for your replies. In my enthusiasm for the prospect of something finally! for the 8.8 Super axle, I may sound like a no0b. I am not. I know what axle I have. I've installed center sections in 8" and 9" Ford housings in the past. I know what to look for regarding wear and tear and I would most certainly be keeping my truck's existing brakes hardware. I definitely do not want a LS. Thanks again!
[QUOTE=armymp;6803279]Can you share a link? I like that emblem. Think it would look sharp on my shadow black.[/

This is the legendary "Detroit Locker" diff... I had assumed from your first post on the subject where the words "Automatic Locking" were used that the diff would be a new and improved unit from a driveability standpoint. I know what these drive like and there are small compromises in general driving. It's the ticket, though, for off road use, that's for sure. And it costs less than the full-blown air locker setup with it's frame-mounted compressor (a boon, anyway, and for many other uses).

I'm shutting up, and backing away now. Maybe Corey will join the forum. He's really into this stuff, and would probably enjoy it here.

I'd really like to talk to him on the phone to ask him specific driveability questions.
You don't have to bail!
and, again, I do sincerely appreciate your continued replies and help. Thank you.
