Truth on the cleanliness. Next time I'll wait a little longer but I had to see what was brewing in there. In addition to this I also use a fuel additive.
On my previous truck, 2016 502A, I used the Seafoam Top of Engine spray in cleaner after 40K miles. Worked well. I replaced fouled plugs at the same time. Acceleration felt better than new.
How difficult was the install? I'm debating Husky vs. Ford.
let them sit in the sun to make them more pliable and it is a little easier to manipulate. took about 15 mins each. used a trim removal tool to make sure the edge tucks behind the wheel well and not against the fender flares. they take 4 screws per side, 2 clips slide onto a hole in the side then 2 more on each end where you have to hold the clip in place while screwing in the screw, helps to have 2 people.
I've been shopping around and came across a great local shop selling package deals. Tires, wheels, black lugs, and tpms' installed for under 2k.
Tires - Cooper Discover Snow Claws
Wheels - American Racing AR931 not the fanciest but affordable!
My Z28 exhaust exited under the vehicle, pointing down and slightly to the side. Didn't stop it from trying to gas me out when idling
very true, but I’m guessing there’s a big difference in the makeup and intensity of the exhaust from a classic Z28 and ‘20 smog engineered F-150. There’s also a big difference between under the long end of a truck bed and under the cabin of a classic car. 👍😀
