I just put it in and loaded it up yesterday. There is enough gap on the front angle side to move it to get your fingers on it to lift it out but a minor bother, hence a couple holes and paracord through those for pulls. This new one is a bit thinner material than the factory half shelf, especially the hanging lips. Time will tell.
This replaced an aftermarket half shelf I had beside the factory one. Storing the factory one. The other snapped in half when I slammed the console lid down with something sticking up.

Consider plastic dipping the steel shackle if you are going to leave it in there.
Actually, I hope you don’t leave it in there. Shiney, easily removed items get removed by others ;(
Even with a hitch pin lock, the fancy padded shackle is an easy target.

That’s the one I broke. First I cracked it and glued it with styrene glue. Got mine off eBay for a couple more $$. It was plenty strong, I just abused it.

There wasn't any corrosion, just a really tight fit. The new ones went in very easy.

On another related note, I saw a video of the 2021 F150, and guess what - they now have the recessed license plate lights, like the super duty conversions we see on this forum. Curious to find out if it is the same light bezel as the 250's or a new part, and if new, if it would be a retrofit without cutting for the older F150s.
Looks nice, all that clean white light back there vs. the factory pee yellow.

Lol, yeah, after replacing the upper cargo lights with LEDs, I thought it looked pretty goofy with the yellow license plates. Much better now, especially for my ocd.

LOOK GREAT I have been looking for those center caps. Can you tell me where to buy them?

I did exactly the same. Changed out the cargo lights first because of the color, which made the license plate’s yellow more pronounced. Those license plate bulbs are tight. Didn’t break mine but came close.

I went to the touch less car wash this morning and got her back home in the garage before it started snowing. We're supposed to get about a foot of snow. Looks like I'll be driving the rusty old Bronco for a few days.
