Installed my new Peragon Tonneau cover. I like it much better than my old Bakflip. Seems like a much higher quality product

Our Scout Troop has the same trailer, and here's me towing it for the first time in my truck a couple of years ago. They added the cage on the front, which is a great hazard to the bumper of whoever is pulling that thing. Otherwise, it is pretty easy to pull. I don't know how much the Scout gear weighs, but probably less than 1k lbs, plus the trailer. I have only pulled it on fairly flat ground, so cannot say how the Coyote would take it if dealing with some real hills.

Default Added Cooper Tires Today!

After studying this Forum, made my selection.
We like the more aggressive look of the tread design over the OEM Wranglers

The Coyote will love towing in the hills, but the driver has to spend a little more time thinking like he's driving a manual trans for gear selection. The Coyote will pull really well and at very little throttle, once the RPM is above 3000, and 3000 for the Coyote is nothin'! It could live for years parked at 3500+... 8 quarts of oil, 6-bolt mains, a stout block, a forged crank and a dual-overhead cam (per head) valvetrain make this an engine born to rev.

I select Manual + Sport for towing this featherweight trailer. As mentioned, I just brought it home from California's central valley, down Interstate 5... southbound there's a haul UP the infamous Grapevine. I parked the tach at 3200 in 4th and pulled flow of traffic up that long (5 miles), steep grade like it was not even there. Yes, the trailer was empty and weighed +/- 1000 lbs if that. I did not take the time to weigh it this trip, but will next week. I want a *real* empty weight figure.

It sure towed nice and true (mine had the radials and I set them to 36 psi right before I left. With no weight in the trailer I didn't want it bouncing all over the lane with the tires at 50 psi... blah blah blah

Thanks for your post! and the photo...
