I did nothing to my truck today. However, I installed a oem trailer brake controller, changed out the reverse bulbs to led, changed the cargo bulbs to led's, changed the high mount brake bulb to led & added a flashing circuit to it, aded a 12" blue led strip inside the center console, & programed a few Forscan changes all to my friends Black 2020 screw XLT. Gorgeous 65º weather and good company made for a great day!
What is the "fake engine noise" alluded to earlier? Never heard of that before. I would love to be able to hear some turbo whistle, reminds me of my beloved dodge cummins with twin compounded Garretts that I should have never traded off.
The only time I really ever hear any engine noise at all is if I accelerate very strongly, there is a slight exhaust noise but it sounds like it should be doing that if I am hitting the boost, which then leads to need for a boost gauge would also be nice to have an exhaust temp gauge with thermocouple ahead of each turbo. Anyway, does this "fake engine noise" play thru the speakers or something? Mine still does that even if I have the radio turned off. Only on heavy acceleration, and it is not loud at all, stops the instant I stop accelerating heavily. 3.5 EB in a 2020 F150

Installed a set of black Gorilla OEM style lug nuts. I understand that Ford probably has millions of chrome lug nuts in their warehouses but come on. Make a truck with a black appearance package so there is no chrome anywhere on the exterior of the truck and then put chrome lug nuts on it. Really? Anyway, here's a before and after. Much better in my opinion.
Had a can of ignot silver paint laying around so I decided to paint match the hvac trim pieces. Currently debating swapping in leather or adding a 6” lift...
Changed my faulty windshield washer pump, wasn't hearing any noise when I pressed the washer button. Ford doesn't make it easy to get in there with the plastic wheel liner, but I got it done. Was able to catch about 2/3 of the fluid in the reservoir when I disconnected the rubber line. Must have pushed the rubber line elbow too far into the new pump's outlet as I was getting the pump noise but no squirt. Pulled the rubber line out a little bit and everything works now.
Fixed the stabar endlink situation that arose yesterday when installing the 5100s. 3 of the 4 nuts seized from rust. Had to hack-saw the tops off. Bottom right one couldn't access with hacksaw, so had to dremel (with cut off wheel) the nut in half. Talk about a FUGGED up design. Way to go FORD. Big F-U to the engineer responsible for these!
Replaced both endlinks with Moogs. They have a different stud design with actual 18mm wrench flats, not some tiny 8mm hex that strips. They are greasable too. I greased up before installing too. They seemed dry.
