What day of the week was your truck built?
*** This is for 2015+ models ***
Considering the various issues that pop up here regarding quality of build – from paint overspray to split aluminum at the B-pillars, I thought it'd be interesting to see if there are any correlations to quality and the day of the week and location the truck was built. There are numerous studies which make claims both for and against the theory of buying vehicles that were made on a Monday or Friday, but this isn't meant to support or go against those ideas. Furthermore, I realize a vehicle isn't necessarily a product that is built in a single day as overlap across a couple of (or even a few) days can happen for numerous reasons. But, let's just go by the build date that Ford provides for sake of consistency. This is merely for entertainment/satisfying curiosity. Who knows - maybe we'll learn something interesting?
Using your VIN, you can look up the date of your truck here: https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do
Please vote and also add your day as a comment, along with any other info regarding your specific overall build quality you feel is worth sharing.
I'll go first.

Monday Jan 5th 2015 FML lol! Actually my truck is a year and half old now and 15K miles and it really has been great. Only issue at all was the cooled seat TSB.

Trucks are built all 7 days now, not just Monday through Friday.

Thanks. I wondered about this. I'll see if I can add Saturday and Sunday as options, too.
Edit: Can't seem to find a way to add two more days. Can a moderator assist, please? Thanks!

I am not sure how any of this can be relevant.
The truck frame could have been built on a Tuesday and put through the line on a Friday. Same goes for every other part that goes into the truck. Not to mention that Ford does not even make many parts and who know what day those were made.
