I can only imagine having the money (and the *****) to take a brand new Platinum no less and chop the freakin' roof off. I was questioning the safety and legality of it but it looks like an actual business did this (not a guy in his garage) who have done several other vehicles successfully and they do have a roof pillar so I suppose it's good to go. Still a bit crazy lol

They used to have companies do this for gen 3 Camaros looked very similar. If done correctly they would have beefed up the frame A LOT as the roof adds an enormous amount of rigidity to the truck. I can't tell though if this is a convertible top or just a Landau fabric addition.

Probably better engineered than what Ford can come up with on a simple sunroof

Go to the link. One of the photos there shows it with the roof down. There is also a video of the roof being retracted.
