Well it's final :)
Ford approved my buyback request today on my 17 F150 supercrew 3.5 Ecoboost based on all of the transmission noises I've been complaining about... At the dealership now waiting to hear what they can do on a F350 power stroke.
Lucky.....my 2016 5.0 screw is at the dealer now....they just overhauled the trans 4000 miles ago, and it is going again....unfortunately....mine is too old for a buy back...2 years old this month, 37k miles. This visit will put me over a month in the shop easily.....
I just want out of the damn thing, but I owe too much on it to make it worth while unless Ford helped me out all things considered.
Enjoy the 350..I too would like to give up on the 1/2 ton's and step up.

Congrats! They are tough battles but worth it in the end.
Same here for more than a single issue. Between driveline vibrations that are getting worse, to the front differential disintegrating, and electronics failing, I know I wont get a buyback, but I should get something for diminished value. Mine goes back in Monday. The vibrations are felt all the way up to 80 MPH, and probably beyond ,but 80 was more than enough to push it. At some speeds if I have a water bottle in a cup holder, you can see the water rippling as if it were surrounded by speakers and a noise generator. 45MPH is the worst, the roof rattles at that speed.

Started happening at 30k miles, overhauled trans at 33k, and now it’s doing it again at 37k. I’m in a loaner for the 3rd or 4th time in the 2 years since I’ve owned the thing, bought new.

The chances of getting one like ours is very low. Out of my past 8 Fords, this has been the only one with so many issues.
Everyone builds a dud every now and then, it’s the reason we have warranties and lemon law.
I will say, I’m pretty damn pissed about what is going on with mine, but so far Ford and my dealer have been trying to make it right.
i had a Vw tdi that was subject to the massive buy back, it left me stranded 3 times in the 18 mons I owned it, and spent 2 mons total at the dealer, and they wouldn’t give me a rental, loaner, nothing....I ended up buying a beater, then bought this F150 when the buyback was announced and parked that POS.
So, yea, I’ve had a string of bad luck.
oh, and I spent 1300 on some new Michelin’s last week, go figure.
