weld mark/spot on 2015 F150 roof - normal?
Granted this is my first truck and the question might be ridiculous...
is this very visible weld mark in the driver side rear corner of the truck roof normal? I know the only cabin welds in the 2015 F150 are on the roof - however the other 3 corners are much less pronounced.
so is this a "normal weld mark" or something along the line of faulty welding/ insufficient welding? How do your trucks look like?
thanks for letting me know

It's seam sealer & it's NOT normal for it to look like total crap. It seems some F150's have this issue from the factory & some don't. Mine is completely flat & smooth, my buddies Lariat looks like a motorcross track. To fix it they will have to remove it all, reinstall it & repaint it. Then hopefully they get it right at the body shop & you have no leaks. Just a quality control issue from the factory.

Why is everyone saying the way that sealer looks is "normal". It is normal to have seam sealer on the roof & other body joints. However, it's NOT normal for it to look like total crap & not be even & flat. Ford has already admitted that IT IS a cosmetic flaw, but will not effect the function of the vehicle. My 2015 roof seams are perfect & flat, so was my 2010 F150 & my 2006 F150. This is a cosmetic flaw with the 2015 F150, some roof seams are flat & smooth....some look like a bicycle dirt track (which is a flaw & not normal). I personally wouldn't mess with it because of potential leak & paint issues. Just put a 6" lift & 35" tires so nobody will ever see it.....lol
