Weirdest thing ever.
2 times I’ve been to my local post office and had my electric door handles not work and key not recognized...thought it was a coincidence. Went again today...same thing. Had to lock with the button on the fob and unlock the same way. I always park at the far end next to a light pole so maybe that’s it? Today I tested it. Drove across the street after it finally started, got out and locked the door with the handle, unlocked it With the handle and it started perfect. Drove back to the PO, parked in the same spot and nothing worked again. I have to take the fob from my pocket and hold it by the dash to start the truck. I dunno what’s in that light pole but it’s got something going on. Weird stuff...or aliens. Probably aliens.

RF interference. We've got a local Braum's that does the same thing. I've never had an issue cranking the truck once I'm in, but forget using the fob. I have to hold it up against the window to get enough RF in the right spot to unlock the doors.

I know that there are window tint products out there that interfere with all sorts of different frequencies. One of the main reasons ceramic tint is recommended by several different Manufacturers. Blocking the TPMS is another major reason for ceramic and not metalized tint.
Also the main reason most tint mfg's offer a ceramic tint now and not just metalized.
Could obviously be Aliens as well.

Sometimes if they have the older style Rf sensors for the automatic doors, that can mess all sorts of things up at some pretty significant distances. Some of the door openers used a 300mhz signal that will go out of wack with age, or bleed over.
