Its a better outlet for my frustration that the alternative! In all seriousness, I've been bailed out many times by information from car forums/communities. I like to give back when I can. Not often am I the first to figure something out.

I hear you. Always nice to find a solution to a problem you have that someone has already gone through and solved.

Several years back I did this full write-up on how to convert a C3 corvette to hydraulic clutch and a T56 6 speed trans. (username MIKE80). Helped a lot of others with their conversions.

Thank you so much for posting this, i have been having odd issue for months, till where my BCM died out. This is exactly everything that has been happening to my truck as well. The dealership thinks it from a cracked windshield and could not reproduce the water leaking after they replaced the windshield. I sent this over to them and they are checking into it now as well.

Hope it helps. Let us know it was in fact the same leak source.

Will do, it's been about a week and change with the dealership so far. Going back and forth, the symptoms are identical to a T. They claim it was my cracked windshield, i was telling them it was going on long before the windshield. Also i don't think they were able to reproduce the water issue even though they said it was. If i was smart i would have said prove to me it's the glass that is leaking. Even the Tech who replaced the glass said in his professional opinion it wasn't coming from the glass.

I now have the sales guy pulled into the mix. Something tells me i am going to get it back, pay for the 2k worth of work outside of warranty cause they felt it was the glass. I am going to get it back and soak it down again and find water all over again.

Sigh.....

Didn't they take the cowling off and look at the seams? It should be easily apparent if there is an open body seam, no?

Water leak passenger side below bcm controls- I have a 2019 f150 crewcab 41k miles ,we had a rain storm recently, I noticed a large pool of water noise coming from passenger side ,sounded like at least a half of a gallon ,rocking back and forth as I'm driving, took apart step and carpet (same side) and a puddle of water was present ,my jaw dropped as I vacuumed it up. Took it to an alarm place as my horn just randomly went off ,now doesnt work, techs replaced driver side lock assembly, because my driver door lock only pushes down and will not rock back up ,via alarm key or door handle ...they said (have pics) bcm wire bundle to door has water rust inside connection...what a nightmare, now avis whom i bought the truck 2months ago will not honor a warranty, and now i have to go to the big bad wolf (dealer) and see what thier going to come after ...MY question is does anyone know how this can be handled ...and i I'm going to seal that seam your referring to,good info ,also to copy and give to repair person ....thank you....🤒👈

My 2015 had the exact same leak inside the cab as the OP. Water would gather on the firewall "shelf" under the dash during a rain. Get in and go to drive off and water would drip all over your feet. After much troubleshooting myself, because I am not under warranty, I finally found that the cab seams under the top corners of the windshield had separated slightly. You could barely see the separations with the windshield installed. After the windshield was removed it was very evident. The windshields on these trucks are made to allow water to run under the edges of the windshield. You could see where they glue these seams at the factory and then paint over them. The paint was cracked at these separations. This allowed water to leak into and then run down the inside of the A pillars which drained onto the before mentioned firewall "shelf". The A pillars are what I would call double walled, so I never got any wetness on headliner or a pillar covers. So I had the local glass guy install a new windshield. Before he installed it I had him fill up any and all separated seams that were under the edges of the windshield with the epoxy that they use to glue the windshield in. Hope this will help someone else.

My 2015 XLT had the same leak on the driver's side.
It took my local dealer 2 days to find the leak with a water specialist.
They did something, as I haven't had the issue since... when I get home I am going to pop my hood to see if they added any sealer to where the OP did.

OP - job well done. I don't have the patience to take my truck apart to find the issue. my truck was under warranty like yours, so I let the dealer deal with it. Luckily for me, they fixed something... sorry to hear your local dealer couldn't fix your issue.
After you found it still leaking did you call or take it back to them at all? I wouldve just for documentation purposes, but still probably would've fixed myself if I went through all that hassle as you did to find the true problem.

This thread should be a "Sticky." This is not a rare occurrence.
