Warranty History and Lemon Law
#14
Had issues with my old '10 F 150. Bad transmission issues caused some problems. The only time I started getting responses was when I got in touch with the Ford regional manager. All of a sudden, things were getting done. It took a while, but definitely worth the time. Dealer ended up winning in the end, didn't fully repair the issue and i had to pay when it was out of warrant (convenient?) Also, if you ever get a survey, fill them out and be honest. If you even put 4 out of 5, you will get calls from Service and General managers. Good Luck!

I believe you have 12 months/12k miles from the in service date/purchase for the lemon law. You have a 16, did you buy it after February of 2017? If not I think you are SOL on the lemon law.

You live in Illinois. OP lives in NY State. Each state has their own lemon laws. I provided the NY link in post #3 along with the timing.

Unfortunately I became an expert with my states lemon law on this issue...it was a long trip but a happy ending for me.
I did a quick review of NY's law. Call a lawyer! In your state (like mine) the lawyer doesn't get paid unless they win and their fee is paid by the manufacturer, not you. The fee has no affect on the amount owed to you...it doesn't reduce your settlement. The lawyer will only take your case if they can win. So, call a lawyer...there is no downside for you.
The 30 days needed out of service is cumulative...and in my state, the days a vehicle is out of service in your driveway are considered.
