Default Warnings about '15s for a buyer?

Only my second post here, but I've been reading about LOTS of issues with the '15. I was getting pretty damned close to buying, like within a few days, but now that I've read about so many issues, I'm a bit turned off now. Are any of you aware of a prior than "x" build date to try to avoid or anything like that? I've been wanting a 150 forever (to replace my Ranger) and know exactly what I want, but I'm uncertain now...

Any input is appreciated.

Mine was built on 7/9/15 and I took it home on 8/30/15. Not experiencing anything I have read on here.

Love the truck and everything about it.

You tend to see more complaints on a dedicated forum. Some 'issues' have been a little bit on the ocd side. I've had zero issues with my '15 it was an late July build. Buy and enjoy!

Default Warnings about '15s for a buyer?

Step one: Buy truck
Step two: Be surprised more and more every day at how AWESOME it is.

The best part of my day is getting to get behind the wheel of such an awesome truck.

Just be aware it may have some issues.

Mine was a 7/20 build date.

- cooled seat back issue
- 5 to 4 trans clunk
- leaking moonroof
- loose rearview mirror

I just took delivery of a Blue Jeans 5.0 Platinum 701a last Friday 9/25. I absolutely LOVE this truck!

Like you, this is my first full size pickup. If you have any doubt I would recommend that you test drive it. That's what sold me

I absolutely love my f150. Got it in late August and haven't had an issue. I would buy another one today and have two if I had the money!

- cooled seat back issue - Fixed somewhat with TSB

- 5 to 4 trans clunk - Also has a TSB out

- leaking moonroof - I have never experience this yet

- loose rearview mirror - Also no problems here

I wanted to add if you get a Lariat or about with the 4A 4x4 option. There is a clicking noise present in the transfer case. Some have had several transfer case replaced and now replacing parts. As far as I know there is no fix out yet.

If you go on any model-specific forum, you'll find people having various problems. It's inevitably going to happen when there are hundreds of thousands of F150s out there, each with thousands of moving parts that are bound to break or wear out at some point. The overall consensus here of '15 owners are very happy with their purchase and hopefully you will be too!
