LOL, Yes that is why I keep a 1971 classic car in storage.

I may have mixed up the GT engine with the Raptor engine. In any case, the 'normal' 3.5 will be a punched out 2.7, so it won't have both port and direct injection.

So the Raptor's page is up at Ford, now that it's been across the stage at NAIAS as a new model instead of a concept. Not a word about the rated output or block composition of the HO Ecoboost, I guess we'll have to wait until the magazines get some for pre-release articles, and still wonder if that'll have any bearing on the normal one. I'm guessing another year of the current 3.5 EB while they do low volume/high abuse beta-testing of the HO and 10-speed, but that guess is worth about as much as the data bits used to post this message.

It's already been time to update the engine. Ever since the 2.7 had the updates in the 2015.

The 3.5 in the 15 is a strong runner I think ford kept the numbers the same but I believe it's putting out more I know it's lighter but my 15 crew with 3.55 only drag radials run 13.93 and it was shutting down at the 1000 foot due to the speed limiter as it was only 94 mph because the tires threw speedo off on the stock 20s it pulled a 2.6x 60ft still managed 98.5 I'm certain it would be right at 100 mph as it ran 8.78 @ 79.xx mph the thing is a beast, going by the 1/8 mile should run a 13.6x which to me is crazy for a production truck no mods

I agree that the 3.5tt is a strong performer. Not sure I have understood the drag racing

I agree the 3.5 EB is a great performer but I have never got the drag racing in a full size truck thing. Have you thought about getting a tune to remove the speed limiter? I guess that is on the truck because of low stock tire speed ratings and poor high speed stability concerns?
