You are correct, the 2.7 Eco does have a deeper exhaust note than the 3.5 Eco.....why, I have no idea. Me & my buddy both have 2015 Ecoboost, I have the 2.7, he has the 3.5. We both have the exact same MBRP 3" exhaust setup on our trucks. My 2.7 is much deeper sounding than his 3.5, The 2.7 with the right exhaust setup can sound like a small V8 almost, the 3.5 just gets more high pitch, raspy & Honda boy sounding. Here's a video clip of my 2.7 Eco from a cold start to warm up.

We have one for the Flowmaster Outlaw system on a 5.0L truck (below). Unfortunately, we don't always have the trucks for a long enough period of time to get all of these videos filmed, but we try to do what we can.

You will get some rumble inside with the American Thunder system, how bad that you think it is will be totally subjective. For comparison purposes, below is an interior clip of the 5.0L with our Outlaw Cat-back system installed. The Outlaw system is more aggressive inside and outside of the truck than the Flowmaster American Thunder kit.

All of the trucks featured in the videos above are completely stock other than the addition of our exhaust systems.

Awesome! Sounds just like a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am with an exhaust leak!

I have a flowmaster catback on my 16 Lariat and it's not the same as a V8 sound, but it's definitely better than stock.
