Default Utilizing extra buttons for aux lights or how do you wire aux lights?

considering adding some additional lights to my truck and want to keep it as OEM looking as possible - anyone reused the non-used buttons in the heater controls or how have you added switches for aux lighting? Can you buy the "missing" buttons? Add a roof console like the raptor and higher trim levels have?

Take a look at this thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/retro...-150-a-315470/

It's not the cheapest option, but it doesn't get more OEM.

Sure.
Listed on eBay with a relay block , or look at salvage yards. Two variations. One has flat side on right. Or mine has flat area on left. Get the plug with pigtail.
Lots of room behind this location.

You need to elaborate on this setup... that the best option I've seen yet if you ask me. Could you give us more detail on how easy this actally was to install?

Yes.
I have a few of these switches around. I used the dash piece from the super duty as my template. I marked the console where to cut. I first drilled the corners with like 3/8 bit. I tried cutting between the corners with not much luck. I then drilled multiple holes between the four original corner holes. I removed the center piece and used die grinder burr in my drill to cut remaining to scribe line I also used small files for a slow precise fit ( I tried but mine are mounted a little askew). That's the mounting hope this makes sense. I also ran vacuum in area while grinding and filing.
Theres plenty of room behind I moved the power point to the left side of console on side by your right leg. I also used the power point power for the switches. One it's rated at 20 amps and relay coils will be way less. Also power point times out and if you leave swithes on. They will shut off

I have neither a roof console nor a floor console- I have 60/40/20 seats and only a light on the ceiling... Thats why I was wondering if I could get buttons to fill in my blank ones- I guess I could use the little cubbe to the left of the stereo for some buttons, but I like putting USB thumbdrives in there or my Ipod when it's not in the sync pocket by the floor...

The LX has very different dash and console etc than what you guys showed.
