Does anyone know for sure if you can re-program a programmed remote without going to dealer to erase previous code?

What do you mean?

If the IA Key is programmed to Vehicle A, you can program it to vehicle B, but it will no longer work on vehicle A.

Correct..... want to buy used programed IA key and reprogram it to work with my truck. Can you program overtop of previously programed key with out going to dealer to erase initial programming?

sorry for sort of resurrecting a dead thread, but I found a key from Northcoast Keyless for $80 and was able to get it programmed no problem. However, the ford website gave incorrect programming instructions. I programmed the new prox key very similarly to the old key programming. Put one good key in the key holder, turned the truck on and off, put another good in and turned the truck on and off, then put in the new key, turn the truck on and off then click lock.
