Next time you get gravel (if there is a next time) pick up a tarp first. Always lay a tarp in the bed when hauling gravel, dirt or sand. Trial by fire my freind.

I installed my own hooks in the bed. But you're right I had to redesign the truck to haul groceries. So I guess I should delete my post.
