And
well you get the idea. I asked about a Raptor they had on the floor while my rig was getting the 20K service done, and asked one of their sales managers about the discount. They are offering another 3K on top of the prices they are advertising.

I'd rather have new but I went with a 501A Lariat to get the best of both worlds. If I went XLT I would have saved around $3K or so but I wanted keyless, auto 4, etc. 502A would be cool but at that point I'm getting a Platinum, 502A isn't worth the huge jump in cost imo

I went the used, loaded route over the new XLT. Bought a 15 King Ranch with 38k miles and am in love with the truck. Go check out the used Lariat and see how it makes you feel!

And the new xlt will be worth what in a year compared to the already depreciated lari. Just a thought.

Had a chance to take a look at it tonight. It's not a turd, lol--it's a Lariat with all the bells and whistles.
I wasn't able to drive it except around the parking lot as I had my 2 kids with me. It makes a bit of a creaking sound when going from Park to Reverse and then from Reverse into Drive--is that normal for these trucks?

I was in the same boat. Decided on a used 15 Lariat 501A. It only had 10k on it and the upgraded features over the XLT for the price, $39k, seemed like a no brainer. Couldn't be happier.

used 5.0 w 6 speed or new 3.5 eco w 10 speed. unless u are stuck on wanting a certain # of cylinders, the choice for the new eco w 10 speed is obvious

I have no loyalty to v8, eco, or otherwise. I would prefer an eco with a 10 speed. But a 5.0 with 3.73 gearing is never going to be short on performance for what I want to do with the truck.

You are assuming same cost and same features. The difference between my 2 options right now I s an ocean, not nearly that simple or straightforward.
