Haave a 2017 explorer and 2015 f150- both updated to 3.4

Also have a 2021 f150 Sync 4... im in a new sub divsion and it dispays my roads. the latest sync for 3.4 does not.
Just wondering.
Thank you
I do not expect to see a nav update for Sync 3 again for a long time if at all. Nav updates usually come out once ever year or two. Ford used to charge $200 for nav updates for older Sync 3 equipped models like your 2017 explorer until 2018 when the licensing changed. You are not supposed to even be able to get Sync 3.4 or be on this file system. Gotta love planned obsolescence! Sync 4 uses a completely different file system. The maps can not be ported over to older Sync 3 systems.

New SYNC 3.4 v22048 (http://ivsubinaries.azureedge.net/sw...6613000.TAR.GZ) released and available on the same source, just the app file, nothing like voice or anything else. No visual changes.

Actually,
SYNC 2 nav maps are still updating, latest version A12 was released last year, so I expect TeleNav to do the same for SYNC 3 even if its dropped in favor of SYNC 4.

There were rumors Ford is planning to completely drop off the SYNC in favor of Android Auto from Google as soon as in select vehicles in 2022

I just installed the latest Sync 3 update. It changed my 5 pages of presets to 6 pages and present button 6 on the dash doesn't work anymore. Anyone know if I can revert back to the previous version?

Same process as you did to upgrade, download previous version and install it, but I doubt your dash presets have anything to do with SYNC itself

Yeah, wife's new Volvo has Google in-dash running the NAV and entertainment system. Works pretty well so far.

Hmmm.... No support for CarPlay and I'm out! May sound crazy, but I purchased my first Apple product in 1979 and if I'm getting sucked into anyones vortex it'll be Apple
