Default upgrade to heated mirrors

I've tried searching on here and using Google but have come up empty so I'm asking for help. I have '16 XLT with the most basic side mirrors and no rear defrost. Am I able to upgrade to the heated/turn-signal/auto dim mirrors without it being crazy hard or expensive? Any help is appreciated.

my 13 turned on with rear defrost and so does my 16.....with the 13 it was part of the climate control dash..... I'm thinking the 16 is the same and then activation..

I added the mirrors with turn signal and heated to my 2015 XL. Adding the mirrors should be plug and play and for the turn signals. As for the heated part I upgraded only my climate control bezel for one with the rear defrost button and it worked fine. Another person mentioned they added the remote start which also triggers the heated mirrors.

So the connector is there for the mirrors to plug into?

mine is an XL with 101a I would expect base XLT to have the same wiring which is the 8 pin connection not the 16 pin. The base mirrors power adjust and the standard xlt mirrors heated with turn signal had the 8 pin connectors and it was plug and play. The higher trim level mirrors with the extra features like power fold that are 16 pin would require a harness change.

So if my truck has (2017 XL) power mirrors and rear defrost, I can just plug in new mirrors that have turn signals and heat and be good to go?
