I hope you have access to the the wiring diagrams and programming for the apim.

And hopefully the existing basic SYNC APIM is in a place where the cable can be unplugged and reach the back of then MFT APIM without having the lengthen any wires.

yeah hopefully the cables reach. Seems like they would anyway. Programming the APIM is going to be a roadblock if the dealer can't do it.

Thank you for the link Wayne. Looks like he does mostly nav upgrades. I'm not interested in the nav at this point. Trying to see what it takes just to get the MFT to work on this truck. I really only use the radio for FM and Bluetooth to my phone for streaming music and calls. So I'm doing my research now. I know it's a little idiotic to start buying things then educate myself but that's the only way to get the ball rolling for me.

I do programming as do a few others. You will need to compare the programming of the APIM you are getting and compare it to what yours should be programmed as.

That is my site. I do much more than just NAV and while NAV requires more than the programming that I am referring to yours will more than likely still need some tweaking. If the setup you are getting is from a 15 F150 there likely won't be much that needs to be changed but you should still look into it.

If yours doesn't have NAV and your not going to use NAV then you don't need the SD card holder.
