Unlock all doors without touching fob?
So I can unlock the driver or passenger door by touching the inside of the door handle with the fob in my pocket, but is there a way to unlock all doors by touching the inside of the driver or passenger handles?
Thanks! |
No you can't. The feature is meant for you to be able to open the driver's door only and then if you have other passengers, you can use the interior unlock buttons. You could also consider using the numerical keypad if you want to unlock all the doors at once.
|
Yes you can. I can't remember how but touching the drivers door inside unlocks all doors for me.
It may be under advanced setting but I can't remember. I can check later unless someone else beats me to it. |
I do believe it is a advanced setting. I am pretty sure when I changed it all the doors unlocked with the Fob and the touch. I am getting my windows tinted down the street or I'd confirm. We went to DQ last night and I do not recall having to let my wife and son in via unlock from inside.

Its an advanced setting. You need to disable 2-stage unlock. You do this by pressing and holding the lock and unlock buttons on your keyfob for four seconds. Its explained on page 66 of the owners manual.

The locking feature is the same as the feature within the key fob. if you have it set to unlock only the drivers door if you place you hand through the door handle it will unlock the drivers door if you remove and place your hand through the door handle a second time all doors will unlock.

Love this forum! Thanks guys!

I thought you could set it up in settings that it will unlock all 4 doors or just drives when touching the handle. I know my 13 was that way. Will check it out when truck gets here today.

(owner's manual) Don't have one -OR- would like a digital, searchable desktop document?

Thanks. Mine worked and then stopped one day and I was not sure why. The press and hold for 4 second reenabled the all unlock (single stage). I was about to go back in with forscan to do it but this was easier and explains how it turned off.
I frequently hit the buttons in my pocket getting in so I guess I hit both for 4 seconds...I hit them so often that I disabled the tailgate button after it dropped the tailgate and I lost some groceries...some squirrel out there hopped up on coffee now. Thanks you guys rock! |

I just wish I could unlock by touching inside handle of a back door. Make no sense I have stuff that I have to touch inside of Front to open a back door. :censored:

Not on my ‘19 Lariat. Wish it did!
Intelligent access at the driver door unlocks your entire vehicle when you disable two-stage unlocking. |
When I touch the driver's door, the driver's door opens. When I touch the passenger door, all doors open. I like it that way.

I have a 2017 raptor and my drivers side door wont open as I approach it. In other words looks like the proximity sensor stopped working or messed up. Is there a way to reprogram the driver side door before buying another door handle because the passenger door opens up as I approach it with my fob in the pocket. Could I have unprogramed it accidentally with my remote? Please any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

it has a sensor similar to a reg f150 doors. Raptors are f150s just with a different suspension.

I wouldn't want all doors to unlock on a single push. Someone could be hiding in the parking lot near your vehicle and you just unlocked all the doors as you approach.
Now imagine your wife/girlfriend or son/daughter being followed back to the vehicle. I'm not interested in making it easier for crazy people to commit robbery, car jacking or kidnapping for human trafficking. |

Then it wouldn't unlock itself as you approach. Other high-end F150s have a sensor on the back side of the door handles, which you have to touch for a moment to unlock. There's no way you can disable that sensor with your fob or in any menus, as far as I know.

It does state the FOB a must be within 3 ft. Of the vehicle In order to utilize touching the back of the handle to unlock or the button to lock. Nothing wrong with your door handle. Save your money. |
