Default Twin Panel Moon Roof

I just traded my 2016 for a 2018 Ruby Red with all the options I needed plus one I am not sure of. It has the twin panel moon roof. Do these seem to have any issues such as leaking, track problems or anything else. I would not have chose this option and am a little nervous. Thank You.

From this forum, there seem to be quite a few complaints, unfortunately. Plugged drains leading to leaks, or something going wrong with the tracks. But I think forums concentrate problem reports, so it appears that there are more issues than there really are. I think the vast majority of roofs are probably just fine. That said, I made sure I ordered mine without it, just to be sure! I hope yours proves to be problem free. Enjoy your truck!

I have the moon roof and will not get another vehicle with it. It's to hot here in Arizona in the summer, and even in the winter the sun coming in the top is pretty hot. The only time I've opened it is at night a couple of times.

Mine has it and I wouldn’t buy a truck without it. The extra light from it is great, my kids love looking at the sky while we are driving. And the 32 days I spend without my brand new truck because of huge water leaks had absolutely nothing to do with the roof.

I have it and love it, use it often and only had some rattling issues when it was new. The dealer fixed the issues and it's been good ever since.

Gonna be 50/50 on preference. I would bet that more people don’t have problems with leaks than not, especially since more people come here to vent problems than to say how happy they are with it. I loved mine. Never had any leaks.

A much more desirable truck with the roof on the used market.
