truck got wrapped. pics
"the wrap is 3m 1080 , sign shop in my town ordered and applied the wrap , 600 out the door, after watching them put the wrap on for the half hour i was there 600 is a very reasonable price.
i’m the test donkey to see what the longevity is - lower part of the truck near the tires will be the proving ground."
and
"i got 3 estimates for painting.
paint supplies and labor cheapest was 3000.00. plus could take a week or longer to do then you have to deal with the body shop dust and smell in the truck. i only got estimates from the more reputable body shops in my area."
Holy ****! It was only a $3-400 option when I order mine. Aftermarket vs OEM wins this time.

to have body shop add 2 tone requires more labor and materials-
when i was out shopping for my truck everything i wanted was 10,000 more then i had - so i looked at what i wanted and figured out what i myself could add to a blank canvas (thanks to this forum) i have added a lot of factory options for far less $.
if vinyl wasn’t a option i probably would have never gone two ton.
Wow, the gray sport 18" are looking good too! I've noticed that both can be had used for really good deals including tires. I have those PVD chrome look 18's on my XLT and they're not hard to keep clean; an $8 wheel brush + a sponge have made cleaning them easy for me.
I wanted a 2 tone so bad when I bought my truck, but eventually other features won out.... such as Super Cab, V8, FX4, and NO chrome package. Couldn't find a 2 tone with the features I wanted.
I love this idea! If my girlfriend didn't already dent my truck on the passenger side lower doors (yeah, I'm still not over it) I'd do the vinyl just like you did. I'd need to do a black vinyl for my truck and the dents she made would just stand out like a sore thumb.
