Truck (2.7) with no tow package, what's 'missing'?
2019 SCREW 145" Lariat with no tow package, 2.7L, 6600# GVWR, 3.55.
Since it is a Lariat it still has the Class IV trailer hitch, 4/7 pin harness, and smart trailer tow connector.
So, missing from the tow package, looking at the build site is, auxiliary transmission cooler, pro trailer backup assist, and upgraded front stabilizer bar.
As somebody who does not own or plan on owning a trailer, who will probably at most pull (seems to come up a lot) a 6x12 uhaul that has a max trailer weight of <5k lbs, what are the chances I would miss having or wish I had a truck with at least the trailer tow package?
Ideally I'm shopping for a 3.5 max tow (for the great price on 3.55 elock and 36 gallon plus extras just-because), but there is a CPO '19 Lariat with the above configuration that just popped up.

Need more info. It might be missing a locking rear end. That's a total deal breaker for me. I've owned one pick up with an open rear. Never again!

Full list is be Lariat 500a SCREW 145" 4x4, locking 3.55, chrome package, nav, tailgate step, reverse sense, buckets/console, 110v inverter
So the total truck is "missing" the 36g tank, BLIS, and remote start. If I had to guess, the absence of 36g and price/involvement of replacing it (I looked into it) will end up keeping me away, but I put in an inquiry about it and getting the tank swapped beforehand so we'll see

For the right price, that doesn't sound bad at all. Most of the good stuff is there if not towing.
Which wheels and do you like the colors?

Just crossing my fingers on the fuel tank situation as I'm, and I mean this half seriously and half the common joking way, OCD about fuel in the tank esp when we travel which this will do and 26 just won't do (and I'm handy but I don't really want to wrench myself on my primary transport family vehicle that's under warranty)
If it is 'meant to be' it'll work out, if not, I'll wait...my default is still to wait and see what the 2020 XLT might gain options wise (hoping they bring down dual zone climate or push button since '19 Ram Big Horn has them...) and then pick up a '19 or get in for a '20 depending on that news when it comes out. But if a good used/CPO Lariat falls in the meantime...okay.

I've owned quite a few black vehicles so I completely understand the love/hate. Black interior is my hot button. Have 4 vehicles right now and all have black interior.
I know that around this forum the 36 gallon tank is a must have, but I could take it or leave it. With the 2.7 you'd have 500+ miles of range with the 26. That would be more than our other vehicles. I have to pee more often than that and my wife and son don't make it as far as I do, so I wouldn't care.
The 36 gallon is more of a necessity if towing and getting 10 mpg in my mind.

But I want that 700 mile range for highway driving and 500+ around town ohhhhh yeeaaahhhhhh
If only an F250 would fit in the garage and my wife wouldn't be like "Super Duty WTF you don't need an anything-duty" to which I have no response other than "but truck!" like Hulk "big monster" at the end of Ragnarok I've seen the aftermarket tanks you can get for those bad boys

Newb here! My 15 I just bought has the tow package, my question is what about the electric brakes on my camper. Do I need the electric brake module? Someone told me it was incorporated? Seems unlikely to me. What does everyone use? Thanks

If the original window sticker was provided with the truck , it would tell you. Yes you need the TBC for you camper. Look at the dash just above right knee/gas pedal. Should be a +/- button ON THE dash and two small bars/protusions that would indicate you have an OEM TBC. Aftermarket may be installed at the bottom edge of the dash, or behind the dash.
