I've owned my '15 Blue Flame Lariat for a little over a month now and people still seem try to cut me off and/or not pay attention. I do live in the Jax, Fl area so that may not surprise most; but gosh darnit I need to let these idiots know about it!

Has anyone installed a train horn on their ride? What brand, decibel, gallon size tank? Plug and play? Installation location?

All advice/ideas are welcomed.

I have some horn blasters company based out of Zephyrhills FL. I haven't installed mine yet. A buddy of mine is making the plate for them. However I plan on placing the horns right above the read axle. There is a decent amount of open space located right there for everything to fit. Would prefer the grill but with the truck having those flaps in there to improve gas mileage I don't want to mess with that.

I live in Jax. to and know what you mean. It's getting busier and people are driving worse. Eventually I'm putting train horns on mine to.

I was in some city last year. Some a-hole had train horns and was scaring the carp out of people. It was so loud it hurt.

You use it you're responsible if you hurt, or cause harm, to others.

I'm not telling you what to do...

go to hornblasters.com and look at what fits in your budget. I had train horns and miss them however my truck was vandalized once because of them. I was not scaring people, just normal driving someone cut me off, parked at a restaurant and my car had shoe polish on the paint saying honk honk when i walked out. i had a 5 gallon tank and 480c vair compressor with the shocker horns. I chose the 5 gallon tank and 480c compressor because i used mine to run air tools and inflate tires. if you just want horns get the conductors special and you will be happy. if you want to spend to much money, 12 gallon tank, 2 480c compressors and k5 horns.

My only experience with train horns is being awaken at 2am every night for four years in college by some *** with a pavement princess.

I know of two peoples stuff that got messed with for using train horns. Also seen a accident involving a truck using the train horns. Usually when you get cut off its because they didn't see you so when you hit your loud horns it scares the crap out of them. The accident was just this I was 3 cars behind and watched this happen. Now I'm not saying it is what caused the accident it's what was said when I was a witness for the driver with the air horns. Lady cut him off it he hit his train horn scared her. She turned too sharp over corrected and ran into the truck she cut off. I don't know the out come only that train horns are illegal here in my state. This is what the officer said. The lady explained that she indeed cut the guy off but the accident was caused by the horns scaring her. Again I dont know the outcome.

Also seen a buddies truck get the headlights and light bar and fog lights busted out. He would drive day or night with the upgraded white lights in the heads and fog with his light bar as well. Well came out after eating one night and they were all busted out. In my younger years I would do the hyper white lights and the knock off hids. As I get older the lights blind the crap out of me. So I'm sure it was guy that was tired of being blinded by these bright as hell lights!

Like i said this is the one mod beside bright lights that really makes people mad. I never thought it would make people as angry as it did.
