Default Train Horn Kit

Has anyone installed one of these, seen one in person, or played with? While I am sure it costs a premium for the kit it is nice that it is a complete bolt on solution with brackets and all so nothing needs to be fabbed up.

F150 Train Horn Kit

Here is a video diagram of the component locations

I wonder how this would hold up in the winter time with rocks, salt, etc always hammering it up here in Canada? I would particularly wonder about the compressor.

Just one of those things that looks cool and would be great for some bonehead drivers! Would be easy enough to install and add a switch to toggle between factory horn or the Train Horns.

As satisfying as the thought may be of unleashing a train horn on crappy drivers, on a practical level this is a very bad idea. There aren't many outcomes that benefit you.

1. You **** off the car in front of you and they deliberately impede your progress just to spite you.
2. You **** off the car in front of you and they don't do anything just to spite you.
3. You **** off the car in front of you, they get out of the car, and they assault you in a fit of road rage. Yeah, you can claim to be a tough guy or say that's why you have a concealed carry permit, but the truth is that no matter what this won't end well for you. You can 'win' the fight and still lose.
4. You **** off innocent bystanders and they **** with your car next time they see it. Key the paint, slash your tires, whatever it may be. You only need to upset the wrong guy once for this to haunt you.
5. You unknowingly run the horn in front of police and they slap you with every possible fine they can just to spite you.

I'd bet that almost every driver you use that on will do just about anything except what you want - to pay attention and get out of your way. Enjoy the daydream and don't be a douche in real life.

That's not a *real* train horn anyway. The videos on Youtube sound pathetic. I'm installing a real air horn on my truck... but not these fake "train horns".
