Trailer Tow Package and Lariat Ordering Help
Hi all!
I am looking to order a replacement for my 2017 XLT. I am pricing out a 502A Lariat, and hit a snag. I originally optioned the Trailer Tow Package because that is what my 2017 XLT has, but then noticed that about half of what comes on it is standard on the Lariat.
What I don't get is the front stabilizer bar and the trans oil cooler (main mechanical items).
My question is, as someone that is going to tow maybe once or twice while I have this truck, and it won't be more than 2-3,000 lbs, is there any point in going that route? Now, I know that may seem obvious, but what I DO tend to do more often is load the bed up when doing projects. I don't suspect this matters too much as I don't go above the payload ratings or anything, mainly just lumber and that.
I suspect the F-150 is plenty capable of handling a couple thousand pounds of towing/hauling without an aux trans cooler, but please let me know if I am overlooking anything on this. I also wonder what the front stabilizer bar does for me when unloaded, if anything.
Basically, is this a package I would want towing or not (like the front bar is a huge improvement in ride over rough roads), or should I put the money towards something I would otherwise skip due to getting this (like 360 cameras).
Thanks all!

For what it cost, it's better to have it and not need it. Alot of folks come on these forums wanting to know what they can do to be able to tow that trailer or boat the wife suddenly approves.

Looking for the thread where someone regrets getting a tow package. Can't seem to find one. On the other hand, plenty of folks wishing they had.

I'm sure the truck will be fine either way, but I always want the most cooling capacity possible.
