Default Trailer Odometer not stopping

When i have my either of trailers connected - RV (7-way plug) or utility trailer (4way plug) and I disconnect either trailer - the trailer odometer keeps accumulating mileage until I go through the trailer set up menu and select no trailer connected even tho it acknowledges no trailer is connected when scrolling thru trailer screens. My '11 F150 only saw when my RV (7way plug) was connected and automatically stopped counting (towing mileage) when it was disconnected. The '11 never saw when my utility trailer was hooked up.

This is annoying to have to go through the screen prompts to stop the the odometer everytime I disconnect a trailer.

Does everyone else's work like this?

Yup. Every time I disconnect, the trailer menu is there and I have to manually select "no active trailer." Not sure why the system doesn't stop itself. Guess they assume some people disconnect the 4/7 plug and still have the trailer hooked up.
