Thanks swimmarz. I decided to go ahead and remove the speaker grill and the two screws underneath it, just to be safe. I had some plastic pry tools, so it really wasn't that difficult to do. The rest of the process went pretty quick, thanks to the pictures and videos that people have put together.

Hello, I have a 2016 F150 XLT 4x4 2.7 and did not have TBC but have tow package, Silver state ford says part # GL3Z-2C006-CA is correct one for my truck. Gave them my VIN and that is the part for TBC still waiting on part to be shipped

Mine was the same part number except the letters were -AB. Mine has worked fine so far.

You might have them check p/n FL3Z-2C006-AB , since all you need is just the TBC switch. I think the p/n you gave is for the trailer brake module.

That one hex screw in the back by the accelerator is a PITA.

I bought a new F-150 over a month ago and got tired of waiting for a Ford OEM TBC because they've been on back order a long time. I ended up ordering one on eBay from Fairway Ford in Canfield, OH for $110.95 incl. shipping. I installed it in less than an hour. Took the truck to the dealer to have it activated and they charged me $52.00 labor. Only downside was that I had to take it back for additional programming since there's an extra step that's unique to 2016 model year trucks which I learned about on the forum. Works like a charm now. Part no. I got is FL3Z-2C006-AB.

I bought what was supposed to be the FL3Z-2C006-AB and instead I was sent part number FL3Z-19H332-AB. Is this the wrong part? Looks to be a brake controller, but I see no reference to this part with the AB code.

I'm happy to send it back if it is wrong, but also happy to avoid the hassle of it is fine.

What was the extra step? Curious before I take my 2016 in for the enable.
