My wife likes high heels because they look good instead of a pair of Comfortable Marshmallow Sneakers that are more user-friendly. The infotainment sucks on my F-150, I miss having bells & whistles (Not Available in an RC) but I like the looks. I feel better being seen in a cool looking vehicle. I also feel better being seen wearing nice clothes instead of sweatpants & an old ratty comfortable T-Shirt! ...Yes, I'm Vain!

I don't know of any Ford's that acted like this guy's Ram..
12"'s of fingerprints would drive me nuts... Hope there's a screensaver for that bad boy.

Yeah I've heard of some horror stories......I have the Chrome Trim and I I dont have his issues, I also custom ordered my truck and one of the companies I work for is a direct partner of the Ram Factory so I was able to message and get updates on my build as it happened, over 2000 photos of it being born. So the guy at the plant actually triple checked and sent me his thoughts before it was shipped to me

Just noticed, his truck also doesnt have the latest update, mine remembers settings etc but what I noticed is I had set settings when I picked it up, overnight I can tell there was an update, those settings were lost, re set and since no issues.

Don't know his circumstances but I remember when I got my 2018 I had issues, screen would remain black or wouldnt turn on, I updated to the firmware I found on this forum and it solved all my issues

Oh one other thing about the ford, so I had laser eye surgery (advanced wave front), I use to be legally blind in my left eye, its now 20/20 but I suffer from certain lights and colors cause extreme discomfort and pain. In my KR I adjusted lighting to dark blue and very bright, in the 2018 I couldnt even drive at night, the low emitting "ice blue" for whatever reason caused the left eye extreme discomfort, I actually would wear an eye patch, I messaged ford and they offered nothing, this led me to the ambient light project which I was able to put the ambient lighting back on the truck way back when, excluding the Cup area, didn't bother my right but, only left.

my computer at home has some blue LED and I had to remove the "light low setting" blue because for whatever reason on gods green earth kills my eyes, night driving with ice blue, came home one night to one eye looking like it had pink eye......brighter, no issue, and dark blue no issue (it also took a gross amount of time for the eye to work right, 7 months or so). Weird and not important but as I said, messaged ford and was told basically to go fly a kite.

I don't take joy in dissing a guys new truck. It was more so a heads up for the rest to check for it.
I do feel he may have been a little technically challenged.

Either way the Ford was a beaut. Shame it didn't work out for you. The Ram is a looker. I commend you on your style choices..

Sorry to hear about your eye troubles. However, I’m not understanding how this would in any way be Ford’s issue to fix? What were you expecting them to do? Sounds like you essentially have a physical disability. I’d be going back to the eye doctor rather than Ford.

I think its any "new toy" that someone brings out, what made me feel more comfortable was the new 2018 Jeep JL i bought, I've had absolutely zero problems with it and yes I've off-roaded it, I use its functions and features, I've only had the Ram since friday so I won't be a reliable source of information for another 2-3 months. I didn't take any offense I'm not sensitive.

BUT, like the Jeep JL, I've been super lucky, but I've heard really bad horror stories from some people with some really bad problems, one guy was stuck on a highway for hours after leaving the dealer for example, another the electronics dont work etc, but I've seen similar stories on these forms about fords, I just think some people are unlucky, Ford was spot on for me 7 in total, never a problem, just trying something new

I solved it by installing the last gen ambient lights, you are correct its a me issue, didn't blame Ford but they also removed the custom ambient lights and again I was one of the guys on the forums to find all the part numbers from a 2017 and re install them in a 2018
