Default Lady luck was on my side!

Got rear ended this morning by an uninsured motorist who I had to chase down several blocks to finally get him to stop!! WTF?

Of all days for me NOT to take my 2015 F150 XLT to work. Instead I had to take my Ford Focus, which now has a bumper crushed in. I would have turned in to the Hulk had my truck been rear ended! Talk about fate and lady luck being on my side heh. Just thought I'd share my experience this morning. CRAZY! haha

Good thing you were okay, and the other guy still is too...since you didn't have to go all Hulk on him!

What did the other motorist have to say for himself when you chased him down. "Oh, I didn't realize I hit you" or "I didn't know I had to stop" or ... ?

After the last good hit I took in traffic the driver tried to get away, but he'd pushed his front quarter panel in enough to trap the left front tire and didn't manage to get moving before my partner nearly yanked him out through his driver's side window... he also turned out to be uninsured, though he had a card so the cops let him leave without citing him for lack of insurance, he just got cited for driving on the wrong side of the road!

The chase was something out of a movie, swerving through traffic and even running a red light to get to this ****! Finally was able to corner him into a 7/11 store. What happened was the person that rear ended me was also rear ended. I was in the very front, so I got hit last (3 car fender bender). Once he hit me, he peeled out and took off. Then I was like, OH HELL NO! So the chase was on. hahaha. I'm surprised my 2.7L 2003 Focus kept up with the Acura integra. lol

I'm ok, but "old reliable" focus is gonna need a new bumber.

Good thing you weren't in the F150, you would have never caught him! When all those electronic and safety systems started yelling at you and stuff, you would have only been his dust trail!!!

So did the real bad guy (the rearmost car that ran into the Integra) get away?

Sadly yes. I didn't find out there was a 3rd vehicle involved until I started speaking with the guy that hit me. He was explaining that he hit me because of the SUV that hit him. He panicked and he took off, then my reaction was to get to him. The real bad guy got away not having to pay for our damages. :/ Mine isn't all that bad. Just replace the bumber. But the guy that hit me, his hood is all messed up.

Thank goodness everyone is ok, even all those other innocent people through the chase, weaving in and out and those vigilant ones that had a green light.

You were rear ended, stop and call the cops and let them handle it.

Just remember you only need their license plate. Some of their car is on yours and yours on theirs. More than enough forensic evidence long as you have the plate.
