Default Traded 2015 for 2019, little things I miss

Traded my 2015 in on a 2019. The trucks are almost identical in equipment; Supercrew, XLT, FX-4, 3.5 Ecoboost, max trailer tow, sport package, nav and the big *** gas tank. Overall I'm happy with the new truck, I like the 10 speed transmission, the additional drive modes, I like the added torque on the Gen 2 motor, but I keep finding little things from my 2015 that I miss. Annoying, the price of the truck goes up and these just seem like nickel and dime cheapening of things.

The CD player.

The cigarette lighter/outlet under the sliding door in the console next to the USB ports.

The 3.5mm line in port under the sliding door in the console next to the USB ports.

The fake aluminum silver trim on the dash and console, it just looked better than all black.

Forgot to add, I absolutely loathe the start/stop feature as well as the electronic parking brake that has the toggle switch rather than a pedal on the floor.

Start/stop can be disabled through several methods... and the EPB actually isn't bad once you get used to it. At least you don't have a cable to get corroded and ultimately seized up.

I used to hate my 'switch ebrake' when I first got my 2016 - but I got used to it. My 2019 has it also...I don't mind it anymore.
And I just hit the start/stop button every time i start my truck...not a big deal to me. A lot of cars are coming with it these days.

I installed The AutoStop Eliminator and don't even think about the stop/start feature anymore. It's a simple fix for always having to think about pushing the button every time you start your truck.

I think the lack of a CD player is kind of funny. I’m young enough that I haven’t seen a lot of tech come and go. But I’m old enough that I remember my 2nd or 3rd car not having a tape deck. Same with DVDs. I’ve been in my house since 2013 and haven’t unpacked my DVD player.

Seems like there’s been a lot less public fuss about the slow extinction of CDs and DVDs, than there was of VHS. I remember saving up to buy my first car about the same time CDs were just starting to gain traction. It took a while though... skipping was an aggravating ****.

I miss the gallons used on the center screen and liked the cleaner look of the endgate without the embossed F-150. There used to be a rubber cover on the hood latch release under the hood also that is now just sharp steel. They also got rid of the underhood hood liner on the lower level trucks.

My 2015 has both and I don't mind either.

A cool feature of the electronic e-brake is that it automatically turns off the instant you push on the accelerator in gear. I think I read about that in the owner's manual.
