Traded 2012 Lariat in on a 2016 Platinum
I had been kicking around upgrading my 2012 Lariat. Pulled the trigger last Saturday. New truck had just come in so it was still in it's shipping covering of plastic and hadn't been PDI'd. I picked it up on Monday. 2016 Platinum Blue Jeans with Brunello/black interior. Really like the improvements, Sync 3 is great and fast. Wife loves the massage seats, she was initially disappointed that they don't stay on after every drive cycle.
On Thursday we were out running errands and heading down the highway at 65-70, when the truck bucked. The check engine light started flashing, I let up on the power and let the rpm's drop. Things did smooth out. We were close to our first stop, after power down and restart the check engine light went out. But when we left once the truck got over 2500 rpm, it basically died and the check engine light started flashing. We cut our outing short and brought the truck home. I pulled the codes, 2 - P0303, misfires on cylinder 3. I went and clear the codes and swapped the coil packs between cylinder 3 and 2. Took the truck out and still the same issue. Had the code reader hooked up and saw the P0303 still being thrown. I pulled the battery cable and had the truck go back thru the relearn process, still the same issue. I also pulled the plug in cylinder 3, and it looked fine, gap was at .030 . So nothing obvious, at least to me. I have an appointment to take it in tomorrow morning. hopefully it's an easy fix. But at 122 miles, I'm not a happy camper . My old ecoboost was trouble free for the last 4 years.
Here's a pick of the 12 and the 16.

your 12 was a great looking truck. sorry to hear about your problems. I've got a 13 KR that runs great with zero problems. I'm scared to trade up. I hope it gets worked out for you quickly man. I may just trade to a basic SR5 Tundra when I do "upgrade." Life is too short to have stress induced by a super expensive truck that needs to be at the dealership often. There are other things in life to worry about, a truck, especially a brand new truck should bring enjoyment not stress. These 15-16 trucks appear to be a roll of the dice I am unwilling to make. People get pissed with that perspective but so be it. Some guys have zero problems and are extremely happy.

I found a guy on craigslist that had just lifted his truck and bought a new set of wheels. Swapped the tire pressure sensors and thought they looked great on the 2012.
A couple weeks later a buddy of mine on the other side of town had a neighbor that came out to his truck up on blocks and all 4 wheels missing. Had to be the same guys, since it was the same type of half cinder blocks used.

Correct, I had to replace the stock wheels since the originals got jacked from my driveway back in November. Came out one morning to find the truck up on blocks, front two wheels gone and the rears still on the truck. The rears were frozen on, and I guess the creeps didn't want to make any noise so they only tried wd40 to penetrate and break them free. They disabled one of the lights on the garage. Damn dog slept, but so did the wife and I. I found a guy on craigslist that had just lifted his truck and bought a new set of wheels.
