CurryBob any other insights on your new ride for the rest of us still waiting? What do you love and what do you hate about your '18 so far?

Some of this will compare to the upper end models, like the KR and ect.

I am up 3mpg average over my 15 which was an Eco Boost also, with the same usual driving and can average right at 24 hwy. I know rated 23 but I use the cruse a lot, do the speed limit and not a lead footer. I also always swap air filters for a K&N type filer. I've been using the "Green filter" for the past several years. The Michelin's are also a better eco tire, less roll resistance. Here in the rural SE we don't have summer gas or winter gas, so we don't deal with all those weird additives. I haven't pulled my boat yet but thinking probably around 17 which will be 3 more than my 15.

That 10 speed is sweet and smooth. Always in the right gear and most shifts you don't even detect.

My fit and finish is much better than my ole 15 also. Very pleased and all is working as it should and no issues so far (knock on wood)

One thing I did notice, on the assist entry, the seat travel and the steering wheel travel is much less than was on my 15, I like the more travel better or just having to get use to this. Still aids in the entry and exit but if you are a very large person (which I am not) then you may be disappointed. I have looked everywhere to see if I have it not set to full and have found nothing. Book only states 2 inch seat travel. So looks like bean counters saved some a few dimes.

Another nick pick. The trip display dropped the gallons used for total miles left to travel. I like the gallons used better. Guess I just got use to that from my 15 but it was very accurate and I knew how much gas i was needing when I pulled into gas stations.

Saw another thread where the new windshields no longer state "sound deadening" type windshield but haven't noticed any more wind noise. Still a very quite truck.

My 15 was delivered in March and had a lot of surface rust starting on the undercarriage. I had to clean and applied undercoating in several area's. This one was perfect and all painted up and very clean.

All I got so far.

Good stuff. Please let us know if you come across anything else you don't like as you drive it more. I'm in transit with a 10/13 ETA for my '18 Platinum so I will just have to live vicariously through you and other forum members that already got their '18s!

Best I can tell, consensus on the '18s has been really good so far, though some have complained that the fender and hood panels don't line up well, especially on the driver side. I'm going to check out an '18 Platinum that's sitting on my dealer's lot in CT this weekend to see if I can notice the problem.

Looks like the HDPP on that one? How is it so far? Ride?

What did your window sticker look like and what'd you actually pay for it?

Mine should be in next week I hope.

Thanks!

Mike

Very nice! It looks a lot like mine, I think the only major difference (appearance wise, at least) is that yours is 6.5 and mine is 5.5 box.
Mine seems to be lost... For three days now Cotus has denied me my estimated delivery date. My F5 key is now broken...
My dealership emailed me yesterday telling me that the accessories I ordered are in and that I can pick them up any time. I tried to gently point out that the truck had not yet arrived, so they could just put them in the bed of the truck when it comes.

My garage looks like an F-150 accessory store right now!

Got to say one thing about this new sync3, it works soooooo much better than what I had on my 15. I don't have to keep repeating myself and it does finally do what I ask, it is sweet!!

They are worth the wait guys, hang in there!!

Glad you are enjoying it Bob!! It is a pretty truck.

Am I mistaken or did COTUS move your delivery date around after yours was built? Mine is "supposedly" built but they have moved my estimated delivery date three days longer and I thought you posted something about moving the delivery date but couldn't find the post. Is there a point when the date will be the definite date they ship or deliver it?

In my case...
The original Delivery Date was 09.24.17.
The Monday after 09.08.17 (when the truck was assembled), the Delivery date changed to 09.14.17. Once the Days to Deliver reached 0, the very next day the Delivery Date, and Days to Delivery disappeared.

From that day on...I didn't get any status changes until this morning (09.22.17), when they marked Awaiting Shipment complete as of 09.12.17 and indicating it was In Transit. Then around lunchtime, I checked again, and it was marked Delivered.

It's almost like they batch updates or something. Turns out the original Delivery Date is probably closest to accurate (in my case).

I'll be calling the dealership soon to see where the truck is!

Got the call and they have my truck. I’m gonna go have a peek at it but they said they don’t have enough time to get it ready. They are bringing it to a detailer tomorrow morning and I’ll have it by 11.
