Ordered my 2011 GT500, waited 47 days.
Ordered my 2014 GT500, waited 112 days.
If the F150 shows up on the current estimated delivery date, it will be 85 days.
Buying off the lot will get a truck faster, but is it really what you want, or what you are willing to settle for ??
Spending this time buying mods for the truck, & way too much time on this site.

Leer 550 tonneau cover - dealer said it already showed up.
WeatherTech - front & rear floor liners.
OEM - black-out F150 fender emblems.
Mopar - seatbelt guides.
WeatherTech - side window deflectors.
OEM - molded splash guards.
AutoCraft - steering wheel cover. ( hope it fits )
Jegs - air/oil separator.
Custom painted - grille & tailgate emblems.

When I pay over 35K for a vehicle it's a special order so I get exactly what I want. Actually with my 17 Platinum I tried to locate one but could not.
Took 43 days from order to delivery, got it in April.
My 14 Stingray took 97 days.

I had the exact same think happen to me on my 2015, It is possible. Best I remember, it took right at 2 weeks after it was built to arrive at dealer. Your location will be a factor in the time.
This late in the year could be a factor but I believe they are suppose to be changing over to the 18s in KC by mid Aug. They would have to be done with all the 17s. Dearborn of course already is.
