Default Tpms help please

22" VCT wheels

Hey guys, I'm picking my new 2015 F150 FX4 next week and was looking for some help with the wheels. I have a set of 22" wheels that I used on my 2010 without the TPMS stems and it was pretty annoying getting the error on the screen, and I'm hoping to avoid that on the new one. I know I could go buy a set from Ford and have them installed and rebalanced, but that is quite the cost for an annoying message. Does anyone know a bypass? Or could I just buy a set of knock offs and throws them in a PVC tube pressurized to 35psi? Would they have to be specific to a 2015 F150 or are they a generic ford part? Any help would be great. If all else fails I will just pay to do it properly, but was hoping to cheat on this as I'm not too worried about not knowing when a tire blows, I'm pretty sure I'll notice.

TPMS for the new truck are very cheap $13-18 each, and are about 1/4 the size. The pvc tube idea doesn't work because the sensors have to be moving/rotating. Just buy the sensors and have them installed.

I called Ford, they said it would take 6-8 weeks to get them in, $25 each, but then another $120 plus tax to install and balance, so I would be out about $250 I guess. Oh well, I guess I'll have to pay it.

Why can't you swap them from the 2015 wheels...

I could, but I got the FX4 with M+S tires I'm saving for winter, so I don't want to pay to swap/balance twice. I'm cheap with my $60,000 truck, lol.

Call a different dealership or buy them online, because they list at $18.99. For something simple like this, take it to Firestone > Discount Tire. They swap and mount tires 100x a day and their prices are more affordable.
