Towing Mirror Caps Painted: A How-To

Update - Remember me saying how the lower tab was a real b!tch to release ? Well, when I went to remove the passenger side cover to paint it, I broke the tab off.
I ran down to the store and picked up this:
Reading the instructions, it recommends that you rough up the plastic to be glued to promote adhesion. I used a piece of 400 grit sandpaper and roughed up the tab sides and the cover area where it sits. Then I mixed it up and applied it:
I let it set for an hour or so and re-installed it. It works like a champ, although it is a little bit tougher to flex it over to remove the cover. It's not too bad but it is just stiff enough to warrant a comment. Still, it was better than buying a new cover for $42 and having to go through the painting process all over again.
I wanted to share a workable epoxy for ABS. Seems like I have spent a ton of money and time over the years for glues and such that didn't always work out so well. JB Weld seems to make good stuff !!
