Five pages in, and yet no one has asked: OP, what is your PAYLOAD value. This is usually the limiter on what you can tow, not Ford's published towing capabilities.
Once you know the payload, you can determine the max tow by calculating what weight will be placed on the hitch.

My loaded/lifted JKU rubicon on 35s weighs more than that minivan, and I've 1,000,000% towed it on a uhaul trailer. It's def not the trailer. Make sure you're plugging in the right information first off, and you will not be overloaded.
The sky seems to be on fire here lately. Do you guys go outside ever? Lol. My boat weighs more than that minivan/trailer combo and I don't waste my time with a WDH, towing thousands of miles that way. Just put you're towing something different, and live your life. Good lord.

Thread Hijack: So I looked under my truck at the hitch label and here's what it said:
MAX GROSS TRLR WT (LB) / Weight Distributing 12,100 / Weight Carrying 5,000
MAX TONGUE WT (LB) / Weight Distributing 1,210 / Weight Carrying 500
So this means the total weight of the truck/trailer fully loaded can't exceed 12,100lbs, AND there can't be more than 5,000 lbs in the truck (including tongue weight). I'm guessing that 12,100 is only if I use a weight distributing hitch. Correct?
