Towing F150 FX4 behind Motorhome
I purchased a F150 FX4 to tow behind my diesel RV. I am researching supplemental braking systems required by law to tow the truck behind the rig. I am hesitant to install anything that cuts into the Ford brake vacuum lines due to potential warranty issue. What have others installed and should I be concerned about installation causing a warranty issue?

Before I sold my motorhome and bought a travel trailer, I towed a car behind my motorhome for 10 years. I used the Ready Brute Elite tow bar with built in surge brake that AZ99 linked to above. It is wonderful. If I were to go back to a motorhome, I would use that one again.
Too bad you are not in the TN area. I still have mine and would sell it to you. It is far too heavy for me to ship.

On a side note to the OP, you may already know but just Incase make sure you follow the procedure for putting the truck in tow mode before towing it.

I have a 42' Class "A" motor home , and have used a "Brake Buddy" for the passed 7 years and have never had a problem. It has also saved me many $$ over the years, when changing tow vehicles "toads" I have no affiliation with Brake Buddy.
Good luck

I use a blue ox base plate and tow bar with AirforceOne braking system on our DP and king ranch.
Baseplate replaces the factory tow hooks, electrical connection on right and air brake line with breakaway on left.
