Default Towing comps for 2.7 (Max tow vs Non)

So I've got a 2015 SCrew FX4 2.7 and I'm curious about what is different about my truck vs the same truck with the Max tow package?
The only thing I'm aware of is the 3.73 gears vs 3.55. I've got the tow package and I've added the brake controller so why should I not be able to tow the 8500lbs that the HD tow package allots?

There is no hd tow package. Only tow package and max tow package and max tow is only on the 3.5eb.

I have an xlt Screw fx4 with the 2.7 and rated for 8100lbs w/ 3.73

Ok so what makes it able to tow that extra weight vs the 7200 mines rated for?

Gears, but yours should be rated for 7,600. Where are you getting the 7,200 from?

You're correct it is 7600...... So the only real difference between our 2 trucks is the gears... No suspension or brake differences that would affect the towing? I've also got the 5.5 bed which could also be part of it.

Yes, just the gears

I have the payload package with 3.73. It's the payload package that gets you the extra tow rating. I'm at 8200.

No, it is not. Please read the towing guide that chris posted. 3.73 gets you up to 8100. Then you are correct, the payload package gets you to 8200 or 8300 depending on the configuration.
